They say... when the Universe sees you are ready, Reiki will find you.
Many of you may have heard about the healing power of Reiki, a form of therapy that is becoming more and more popular but very few know what this therapy is all about.
Reiki is a gentle form of natural, holistic, complementary healing and wellness approach, which enhances the body's ability to heal itself through the movement of energy.
Reiki (pronounced Ray Key) is a combination of two Japanese words rei and ki meaning universal life force energy. Practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands on healing to transfer life force energy (ki, chi) to their clients. It is believed that this form of healing energy brings balance in order to release blockages that may have caused physical or emotional symptoms such as low energy, depression or feelings of being out of balance or disconnected.
Benefits of Reiki include:
• Stress reduction and relaxation
• Enhances sleep
• Inner peace and harmony
• Balances the mind and emotions
• Offers relief during emotional distress
• Helps to alleviate mood swings, fear, frustration and anger
• Gives relief to pain from migraines, arthritis, sciatica and chronic fatigue
• An effective way to aid in the recovery after surgery
Regular Reiki healing sessions can bring about a calmer and more peaceful state of being, in which a person is better able to cope with everyday stress. This mental balance also enhances learning, memory and mental clarity. By helping to maintain a state of physical and emotional balance, Reiki can not only treat problems, but perhaps even prevent them from ever developing.
REIKI is helpful and effective for everyone: babies, toddlers, children, adults and elderly.
